Sudan has known darkness before, and has always found its way back to the light. With one of the youngest populations on Earth, vast untapped wealth, and a people famous for helping one another, this land holds within it everything it needs to rise. A Nation of the Youngأمّةٌ من الشباب
Most Sudanese are younger than the troubles they have lived through. It was the young — women and men, students and doctors — who led the peaceful revolution of 2019 with breathtaking courage and discipline, and who today keep their communities alive through the hardest of days. Educated, connected and unwilling to give up, this generation is the country's brightest promise.أغلب السودانيين أصغرُ سنًّا من المحن التي عاشوها. فالشبابُ — نساءً ورجالًا، طلابًا وأطبّاء — هم من قادوا ثورة 2019 السلمية بشجاعةٍ وانضباطٍ يخطفان الأنفاس، وهم اليوم من يُبقون مجتمعاتهم حيّةً في أقسى الأيّام. جيلٌ متعلّمٌ متّصلٌ بالعالم يأبى الاستسلام، وهو أزهى وعود البلاد.

The Youth
Sudan is overwhelmingly young — most of its people are under thirty. It was this generation, brave and creative, that filled the streets in 2019. Their energy is the country's single greatest resource, and its surest hope.السودان فتيٌّ إلى أبعد حدّ — أغلب أهله دون الثلاثين. وهذا الجيلُ الشجاعُ المُبدِع هو الذي ملأ الشوارع في 2019. طاقتُه هي أعظمُ موارد البلاد على الإطلاق، وأوثقُ آمالها.
Grassroots Initiatives
When the state falters, the Sudanese organise themselves. From the ancient spirit of nafeer to today's neighbourhood "emergency response rooms" feeding the hungry through war, ordinary people keep their country alive with their own hands.حين تتعثّر الدولة، ينظّم السودانيون أنفسهم. من روح «النفير» القديمة إلى «غرف الطوارئ» في الأحياء اليوم التي تُطعم الجائعين في خِضمّ الحرب، يُبقي الناسُ العاديّون بلدَهم حيًّا بأيديهم.
A True Breadbasket
With its rivers, its sun and its vast fertile land, Sudan could become a true breadbasket for the region. Its sesame, sorghum and livestock already feed distant markets; with peace and fair investment, its fields could feed millions more.بأنهاره وشمسه وأرضه الخصيبة الواسعة، يستطيع السودان أن يصير سلّةَ غذاءٍ حقيقيةً للمنطقة. فسمسمُه وذرتُه وماشيتُه تُطعم أسواقًا بعيدة من الآن؛ ومع السلام والاستثمار العادل، تستطيع حقولُه أن تُطعم ملايينَ آخرين.
Rebuilding the Wealth
Gold, minerals and a long Red Sea coast bathed in endless sun: the raw wealth is here. A new generation of Sudanese is learning to code, to build and to start companies — many from their phones, many from across the diaspora. Give this curious, determined youth the right tools, and they will leap to meet the future.جيلٌ جديدٌ من السودانيين يتعلّم البرمجةَ والبناءَ وتأسيسَ الشركات — كثيرٌ منهم من هواتفهم، وكثيرٌ من المهجر. أعطِ هذا الشبابَ الفضوليَّ المُصمِّمَ الأدواتِ الصحيحةَ، يَثِبوا إلى المستقبل.
Peace & Rebuilding
Everything begins with peace. The Sudanese dream of a day when the guns fall silent and they can return home to rebuild — a future where their children grow up knowing only the generosity of their land, and never its wounds.كلُّ شيءٍ يبدأ بالسلام. يحلم السودانيون بيومٍ تصمت فيه المدافعُ فيعودون إلى ديارهم يُعمّرونها — مستقبلٌ يكبر فيه أبناؤهم لا يعرفون من أرضهم إلّا كرمَها، لا جراحَها.
Hope That Organises Itselfأملٌ ينظّم نفسه
Where help is scarce, Sudanese build it themselves. Neighbourhood volunteers — heirs to the old spirit of nafeer — run kitchens, clinics and "emergency response rooms" that feed and care for millions through the war, while a global diaspora sends home both money and skill. When peace comes, this same energy stands ready to rebuild homes, schools and a whole country.حيث يَقِلُّ العون، يصنعه السودانيون بأنفسهم. متطوّعو الأحياء — ورثةُ روح النفير القديمة — يُديرون مطابخَ وعياداتٍ و«غرفَ طوارئٍ» تُطعم الملايينَ وترعاهم عبر الحرب، فيما تُرسل جاليةٌ منتشرةٌ في العالم المالَ والخبرةَ إلى الوطن. وحين يحلّ السلامُ، تقف هذه الطاقةُ نفسُها مستعدّةً لإعادة بناء البيوت والمدارس وبلدٍ بأكمله.
